Fern fan? Staghorn ferns are a popular plant that can add a striking, living art piece to your home or garden. Learn about staghorn fern mounting and care during this hands-on workshop. Participants will select from a variety of staghorn fern species ranging from medium to large and receive instruction on mounting to a redwood board.
Participants must separately purchase their desired staghorn fern at the workshop.
Ferns will be available for purchase at the beginning of the workshop and are first-come, first-served. Three species of varying sizes ranging from $35-$60 include:
Playtcerium bifurcatum – easy, outdoor, light frost tolerance
Platycerium superbum – advanced, indoor/outdoor, frost intolerant
Platycerium veitchii - easy, outdoor, light frost tolerance
Redwood mounting boards, wire, moss, and other materials needed for mounting will be provided as part of the course fee.
Beer will be included thanks to our partner, Fort Point Beer Company. Two drinks are included in the workshop price. Must be 21+.
