In accessible online workshops, you'll learn tips, tricks, and tools of the trade with some of the Bay Area's finest storytellers. Activate Your Ideas with Michael French (October 8, 10a - 12p): Have you always wanted to test your storytelling and writing? Are you stuck creating your next big idea? Michael French will help you take the first step by sharing strategies to get your stories onto the page. With quick and easy activities, you will translate those thoughts and musings inside into a beautiful first draft. No experience required!
Harvesting the Stories of Life with Joel ben Izzy (October 15, 10a - 1p): Welcoming both beginning and experienced storytellers, Joel ben Izzy will help you find tales from your life which you will be able to share immediately or continue to develop in other Stagebridge classes. Through fun and low-key exercises, you will come away with a bounty of stories you didn't know you had.
The Critical Eye with Julius Rea (October 29, 10a - 12p): Crafted for writers and individuals looking to boost their interpersonal communication skills, this workshop will explore feedback and how to turn criticisms into hard-hitting questions. With playwright, poet and facilitator Julius Rea, you'll learn how to elevate your work to the next level by mastering constructive criticism.
Curating Your First Showcase with Dana Sherry (November 5, 10a - 12p): Designed for artists and storytellers looking to produce new work, this workshop is an invitation into curation. With artistic producer Dana Sherry by your side, students will figure out how to create new productions to showcase their work.
