Stag Dining & Cerf Club present: Storyteller Winemaker Dinner with Bodkin Wines

SEE EVENT DETAILS
You are cordially invited to join us for for an intimate dinner with our friends at Bodkin Wines. This event will kick off our Storyteller Winemaker Series, which highlights unique stories in wine: from specialized techniques and underrepresented backgrounds to compelling personal tales of trailblazing and entrepreneurship, both failure and reward. We celebrate these winemakers and their stories through this series of culinary events.

Chris Christensen (Winemaker and Co-Head Honcho, Bodkin Wines) is an acclaimed winemaker and hunting buddy of Stag's president Matthew Homyak. He started out with Medloc Ames in Healdsburg and branched out to start his own winery, Bodkin Wines, named after the English arrowhead and Chris' obsession with Saint Crispian's Day and all things Henry V. Taking a scientific approach to his wines, Chris is known for creating America's first sparkling Sauvignon Blanc and 14 other 90+ scoring wines produced. Chris is also a trail-blazer in the the wine industry as one of very few biracial winemakers. His path and story as a creative and charismatic winemaker serves as a blueprint for other young winemakers, having started a project without the capital and resources to have his own estate. Chris was named one of 2017 Winemakers to watch out for by the SF Chronicle.
Beyond partnering on palate-pleasing dining events, Bodkin and Stag Dining have grown their relationship–and Stag’s offering–by collaborating on Stag’s own wine label, Cerf Club. The wines are featured at Stag events and are available for purchase. We are very excited to share with you these Cerf Club wines at this dinner.
This event takes place in our new event space along San Francisco's Van Ness Corridor.
This event is 21 & over. A reception with hors d'oeuvres and wine will be followed by a wine-paired dinner.
