Please join us for a celebratory book launch with author Ron Kay and illustrator Chloe La Bare for their first collaboration on a brand new children's book: Spyro: Young, Innocent, Clueless (2107 Dragonfly Imprint)
Your ticket to this event includes your very own copy of this book, a special reading by the author (aka DJ Kay) in his own style of rap spoken word, book signing, plus a Q&A with the author and illustrator Chloe La Bare for insights to the creation of the verbal and visual world of Spyro. (No-host bar and tapas available.)
This book is an empowering, enchanting story of a baby sparrow discovering his own uniqueness—even though at first he is quite clueless. This book is unique in its rhythmic, rhyming language and lush visual illustration that is both realistic and surreal. Reading vocabulary tips and fascinating sparrow facts are included!
Ron Kay is the author of several children's books and a retired high school teacher with over 25 years of experience in the classroom. His passion is writing children's books and reading them aloud as DJ Kay.

Chloe La Bare is an innovative visual artist based in San Francisco. Creative highlights include children's book illustrations and animation art for a Grammy-nominated music video by the local band Papahugs. Chloe sees the process of making art as a high-spirited approach for an enhanced way of life, combining a childlike exuberance with a purposeful discovery to find new ways of engaging the world.
