Join UC Santa Cruz' Theater Arts Department as they present their newest production, "Spring Awakening." Stage by student director Rosie Glen-Lambert and a team of student actors and designers, this controversial play, written in 1891 and first performed in 1906, follows the lives of three adolescents and criticizes the sexually-oppressive culture of 19th-century Germany, exploring such themes as teenage desire, suicide, abortion, and homosexuality.
