Special Olympics Northern California 2025 Bay Area 5K Run and Polar Plunge

Ready, set, plunge! It's time for Special Olympics Northern California's annual Bay Area 5K Run & Polar Plunge.
Join Special Olympics athletes and their friends, families and communities at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda for a morning of refreshing activities in support of SONC's athletes and mission. Participants can choose to race along the beach, splash into chilly waters or do both!
All proceeds from the race and Polar Plunge directly support local Special Olympics programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Registration for the 5K is $45. The first 300 runners to finish will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line. Plungers must raise a minimum of $125 and will receive a Polar Plunge T-shirt and lunch. Any participant raising more than $125 for SONC is invited to the Post Plunge Party immediately after the Plunge.
