Chido Govera comes to Equator Coffees at Proof Lab Surf Shop on Sunday, November 3 at 11:30 a.m. to share her uplifting and inspiring story of success. As a Zimbabwe orphan, Govera learned how to use leftover coffee pulp to grow mushrooms—changing her life and community forever. Today, Govera operates The Future Of Hope, a nonprofit organization that trains orphaned girls how to grow mushrooms in organic coffee waste. Govera travels the world educating the public on the importance of sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, and community development.
Equator Coffees & Teas has supported Chido's efforts since 2009, donating $2 a bag of their Chido Blend profits to help support her work. Come hear her story and learn about her vision for a better future, and enjoy some special Equator Chido Blend coffee!
