Speak Up and Dribble: We Got Next!

SEE EVENT DETAILS
SPEAK UP & DRIBBLE: Supporting the Black Community Outside the Lines is a peaceful protest declaring that Black Lives Matter ... uniting the Basketball community to demand justice for Ahmaud Arbery, Breanna Taylor, George Floyd, and all victims of racist violence -- we want an immediate end to police brutality and murder of black people. BLACK LIVES MATTER!

SPEAK UP & DRIBBLE: Supporting the Black Community Outside the Lines is an avenue to Speak Up and Use Your Voice to create change in our community and the country with a peaceful protest supporting Black Lives Matter.

Black people are bombarded with disturbing racist messages: "Your talents and skills - like your skin color - are all that matter about you. You don't matter outside the lines. Shut up and dribble."

Such vile dehumanization of Black people leads directly to racist violence against them. We denounce this dehumanization that we know reaches far beyond sports, and into the foundations of this country. Black people live every day - jogging, shopping, sleeping - under threat of brutality and death ... under the threat that justice, peace, dignity, and life will be suddenly, violently, ripped away by racist police and citizens. We reject the racism driving this reality, and Speak Up And Dribble to call for an END to all violence and brutality against Black people!

- Support the black community outside AND inside the lines.

- Say NO MORE to the murderous dehumanization of Black people.

- Demand real changes to funding of the system that attacks and kills Black people.

- Declare that Black Lives Matter.

Basketball is a powerful, unifying force across the globe. We are using that unifying love to defeat racism.
