The future is now: Space Month continues with a night dedicated to the ideas of today that are propelling space exploration into tomorrow’s frontiers.
-----> Elizabeth Lopatto, Science Editor at The Verge, moderates two talks presented by Computer History Museum about private companies in the space business: Learn about asteroid mining and the world’s first commercial deep space exploration program with Chris Lewicki, CEO of Planetary Resources, and the opportunities and challenges of the private space race with Ron Goedendorp, VP of Space Opportunity at NanoRacks.
-----> Then, Look for extraterrestrial life with Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the SETI Institute, an organization dedicated to the search for other technological civilizations. Always wanted to be an astronaut?
-----> See if you could cut it on the ISS by testing your knowledge with a round of space-themed trivia with Brainstormer.
-----> At the Project Lab, get the latest on NASA’s Kepler Mission and the Kepler space telescope, launched into space and designed to survey the Milky Way in search of new planets.
