2021 Sonoma's Fourth of July Celebration
To pay tribute to the Covid-19 front line workers and to honor those who have lost their lives during the pandemic, the Sonoma Volunteer Firefighters Association is pleased to announce that this year's Fireworks Display is BACK! We are excited to once again celebrate our diverse Nation's founding values of liberty and justice for all. With public gatherings still banned, changes have been made to the Fireworks Display that will allow for better, more remote viewing. Our Fireworks technicians are making changes to our show for a higher aerial display and promise this years' experience will be a spectacular return. With these changes, we are encouraging viewers to watch from home or from a distance.
It's been a long time since we have been able to celebrate our nation together and we are thrilled that we can experience the 4th of July Fireworks Display again. Given current worldwide impacts, we still need to ensure that we remain vigilant in our fight against the global pandemic. It is essential that we continue to socially distance and wear face coverings while in public spaces.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are unable to have a parade or a plaza celebration, however we are planning an event with a local car club to coordinate an "old fashion" car cruise.
Traditionally the parade and plaza festival have generated revenue to offset the costs of the Fireworks Display. Without these events occurring this year, we are in need of funding to ensure the success of future Fireworks shows. We want to take this time to thank everyone who has donated in the past and welcome additional donations.
