The de Young Museum / Piazzoni Murals Room / September 2nd, 2023 / 11 am - Noon
In conjunction with Lhola Amira: Facing the Future, join us for a song bath with Brittany Tanner, founder and CEO of the Song Remedy.
The Song Remedy uses the power of music to enhance affirmations. Singing bowls are paired with live music to allow participants to heal and open their hearts to vulnerable community dialogue. Come prepared to share an affirmation and if moved, find your remedy in a song.
The Song Remedy is a collective of Black and Brown women-identified educators and facilitators cultivating sacred spaces for communities to heal from oppression individually, interpersonally, and institutionally through rituals, song, affirmations work, critical consciousness development, and bearing witness to collective struggle and healing. The Song Remedy practices intentionality.
Preregister for this event on our website. Capacity is limited. Check-in begins at 10 am.
