It's time for a SIPping (Shelter-In-Place)!
The first in a series of wine seminars, at this online event you'll taste four wines, pair them with four snacks, learn about the wineries they come from, and be able to ask questions of our special guest.
Fifteen years ago, Sommelier Brian Cook took a big chance that paid off when he turned his passion for wine into something more. After leaving an unsatisfying career in government relations and public policy, Brian earned his Sommelier certification in 2006. He directed several diverse wine programs in the D.C. area (including lists for Chefs José Andrés, Wolfgang Puck, and the airport-based wine bar Vino Volo), before relocating to California in 2011. Since then, he has curated wine tours around Northern California and continues to champion family-owned, small production wineries by selling their wine from specialized portfolios. Like Dr Inkwell, Brian enjoys sharing his love for wine by leading education programs and helping people drink well.
In partnership with Taste Catering, Dr Inkwell will provide you with a wine tasting kit for use in the class. The kit serves 1-2 people and will include:
o Robert Sinskey Pinot Gris 2013
o Frogs Leap Chardonnay 2017
o Teac Mor Pinot Noir 2015
o Robert Sinskey POV Red Blend 2014
o PLUS snacks to pair with each wine
The event will close with a Q&A session and social hour. It's a great way to e-meet some new people in a fusion happy-hour-wine-seminar!
