Santa Cruz Writes comes to the Museum of Art and History to host a Snail Mail Social, celebration of the written word as a form of communication through letters, envelopes, and postcards. Visitors will be able to engage in an introspective participatory project called "Letters to the Self," which is linked to the Museum's current exhibition, PHOTO ID. In this unique project, guests will answer questions about themselves before meeting a writer who will craft a letter or poem using a typewriter or handwritten with calligraphy on stationary. The work of local students who have taken part in a Community Postcard Project will be on display as well.
