Sizzle & Spice: Diwali Menu at Broadway Masala

Diwali celebrations in India are known for the use of vibrant colors and their dramatic firework displays. This festive menu created by Broadway Masala Chef Dev Raj takes its inspiration from a typical Diwali Indian celebration by incorporating color, spice and sizzle into the food itself. 

Come celebrate the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine to coincide with the joyful festival of Diwali. This special month-long menu will highlight traditional Indian dishes and immerse diners in the cultural significance of the holiday, making it a holistic celebration of food and tradition. 

From flavorful biryanis to sizzling tandoori delights, this menu is a delight to the senses. Though Diwali falls on Oct. 31 this year, the following items will be available for lunch or dinner and can be ordered la carte from Oct. 9 through Nov. 3. 

"Sizzle" menu items:
* Rosemary & Black Pepper Chicken Tikka - tender pieces of chicken marinated in a creamy yogurt blend infused with aromatic rosemary and freshly ground black pepper
* Tawa Fish (Griddle) - fish marinated in turmeric, red chili powder, coriander, garlic and ginger 
* Teen Mirch ka Paneer Tikka - paneer marinated in a vibrant blend of spices, yogurt, and a medley of green, red, and yellow bell peppers for both flavor and color.
* Jalapeno & Cheese Samosa - pastries filled with a rich mixture of gooey cheese and finely chopped jalapenos, offering a perfect balance of heat and flavor

"Spice" menu items:
* Laal Maas (Goat) - a rich and fiery Rajasthani curry that beautifully showcases the bold flavors of Indian cuisine, this traditional dish features tender pieces of goat meat simmered in a colorful red chili gravy
* Chicken Laccha Palak - chicken marinated and cooked in a rich blend of spices, complemented by the earthy flavor of spinach
* Lamb Vindaloo - spicy and tangy Indian curry that originates from Goan cuisine and heavily influenced by Portuguese cooking
* Paneer Chettinad - a flavorful and aromatic vegetarian paneer from South India, specifically from the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu; known for its bold spices and rich flavors
* Pepper Jackfruit - a delicious and innovative dish that showcases the versatility of young jackfruit, often used as a meat substitute
* Dhaba Dal - a hearty, mixed-lentil dish commonly found in roadside eateries (dhabas) across India; known for its rustic charm and comforting flavors
* Goat Biryani - a rich and aromatic traditional rice dish that combines tender goat meat with fragrant basmati rice and a blend of spices; a favorite at celebrations

* Mirchi Halwa - a unique and delightful Indian dessert made with mild green chilies 
* Spicy Chocolate Cake - a decadent dessert that combines the deep flavors of chocolate with a kick of orange zest and cinnamon.
