The Silicon Valley Internship Summit is Nov. 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Microsoft Silicon Valley, 1065 La Avenida St., in Mountain View. Admission is $25, and includes continental breakfast and lunch.
Designed to bring industry and education together to learn from each other and find ways to increase and improve internships, the summit will also feature keynote remarks by Bill Symonds, director of the Global Pathways Institute and professor of practice at Arizona State University. He helped launch the Pathways to Prosperity Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and is the primary author of Pathways to Prosperity: Meeting the Challenge of Preparing Young Americans for the 21st Century.
Through employment-education partnerships, you can create meaningful internship opportunities that will help power the economic and workforce engines of Silicon Valley. You'll also learn how to incorporate talented interns into your business, special project or individual program.
The summit is organized by Foothill College, San Jose State University, YearUp, NOVA, Internbound, Blach Construction and the Two-County Next Generation Committee.
