Shriranjani School of Hindustani Classical Vocal
Hindustani classical vocal classes are held at San Jose-Milpitas area, California, USA for kids (above 5) and adults.
Classes are conducted once a week for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels
Classes are taught with Taanpura, Tabla and Harmonium accompaniments to introduce the students to drone and rhythm concepts from day one
Proper understanding and step-by-step methodology of this form of music is instilled to the students in order to bring out the best in them
Along with vocal techniques, students are also taught the theoretical quotient of the Hindustani music
The progress of every student is individually monitored
ShriRanjani is associated with Tabla Niketan for bi-annual certification exams (Apr-May and Oct-Nov) conducted in Cupertino, CA by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, INDIA. The exams are judged by Board affiliated teachers from Bay area and certificates are awarded to the examinees. These exams provide great motivation for the students to work towards a yearly milestone and judge their progress
Online vocal classes are available upon request for non Bay area students
