SHPONGLE

Shpongle (pronounced /ˈʃpɒŋɡəl/) is a psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music project. The members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Simon takes care of the production, instrumentation and programming, while Raja Ram is the flautist and Cunning Linguist. They DJ separately and together, Simon having just completed 52 shows in the USA touring with a visual extravaganza known as 'The Shpongletron'.

Dongle and Mongle are the only two other words rhyming with Shpongle...a strange hybrid of electronic manipulation and shamanic midgets with frozen digits squeezing the envelope and crawling through the doors of perception, find a new pair of dice...extra numbers and colours an infinite expanding bubble, filled with a bizarre, strange world of dripping hallucinatory wallpaper, a garden of earthly delights...........Shpongleland.....a place of well being, and reflective surfaces, morphing like an anacondas skin and shimmering like a million colour changing squid, at fifty fathoms.. truly unfathomable like separating water from it's wetness, the Ineffable Mysteries unweave .....

ALEX GREY & ALLYSON GREY

I am a mystic artist and co-founder, with my wife Allyson, of CoSM. The Mission of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, CoSM, is to build a sanctuary of visionary art to inspire every pilgrim's creative path and affirm the values of love and wisdom.

Ott was doomed to be a teenager in the cultural wasteland that was the mid-1980′s provincial England. After a brief period wandering aimlessly through the hairsprayed deserts of New Romanticism and poodle-rock he found refuge in the warm, inviting sounds of Scientist, King Tubby, LKJ, and Prince Far-I and the effortless grace of European experimentalists Neu! and Kraftwerk.

The end of the 1980′s brought with it a cultural and musical revolution and Ott headed to London to immerse himself in the new energy. Initially unimpressed by the frantic, unmusical clatterings of acid house and “rave” he discovered a new wave of artists who apparently shared his love of organic dub and pristine electronics. Artists such as The Orb, Dub Syndicate, FSOL and African Head Charge. These were people who were unafraid to combine bass-heavy rhythm, abstract soundscape and timeless melody into a huge, ever-shifting sonic universe which reflected perfectly the spirit of hope and positivity which prevailed.

It was at this point that Ott found his first work as an engineer in several studios around North London. Working obsessively, 18 hours a day, seven days a week for the next ten years, Ott developed his engineer skills working with artists such as Brian Eno, The Orb, Youth, African Head Charge, Steve Hillage, and On-U-Sound.

After mastering his studio skills, Ott celebrated the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st by giving it all up and moving to a remote cottage in South West England to be alone with his cats and his studio. Here he embarked on a series of sonic experiments, drawing heavily on the classic dub sounds from Jamaica and hypnotic electronic pulse from Germany which had provided such a refuge during the 1980′s. A period of intense creativity followed, during which a great many tracks were created and then stashed away on tapes.

In the meantime, Ott hatched a plan to remix half a dozen or so classic Hallucinogen trance tracks and release them as dub mixes – slower, fatter and more chillout friendly. In 2002 the album “Hallucinogen in Dub” was released via Twisted Records to universal acclaim. Buoyed by the success of “Hallucinogen in Dub”, the following years to come would see Ott gather together and release his sonic experiments on Twisted Record as the albums “Blumenkraft” and “Skylon”, as well as a whirl of gigs around the world, remixes for Shpongle, Entheogenic, Tripswitch, and collaborative projects like Umberloid (with Chris Barker) and Gargoyles (with Simon Posford). During this time, Ott travelled the word, got married, welcomed his daughter Daisy to the world and recorded his fourth album, which he self released in 2011, entitled ‘Mir’.

In addition to hundreds and hundreds of headline club dates, Ott has performed worldwide at acclaimed festivals such as Wakarusa, Camp Bisco, Rainbow Serpent, Glade, Sonic Bloom, Symbiosis, Lightning in a Bottle, Tree of Life Festival, Big Up Festival, and many many more.

ANDREILIEN

Far far away in deep auditory space, Heyoka has been abducted, cosmically mind probed, upgraded and reconfigured in an extra terestrial lab on a planet known as Marklar. Fortunately he has returned almost entirely unharmed, and now shall be known as the artist currently know as Andreilien…

Andrei Olenev first emerged as HEYOKA on the San Francisco underground glitch/bass scene in 2006. By 2009 he was touring extensively and quickly became a staple sound in the rapidly growing bass music scene of North America. With a constantly evolving, original style, he stood out amongst bass music producers as one who keeps the vibe going strong while venturing to explore new realms of sonic experience. Playing always live sets of his own original tracks, his music has been described as a journey through fractal soundscapes and alternate realms while riding the waves of fat glitch beats and earth rumbling sub bass.

Andrei has brought his signature sound to North American festivals including: Symbiosis, Sonic Bloom, Raindance, Lightning in a bottle, Big Bounce, Alchemeyez, and large Burning Man sound camps such as Nexus, El circo, Temple of Boom, Entheon Village, Roots Society and Fractal Nation. He has also played several international electronic music festivals such as Shambhala (Canada), Boom (Portugal), Earthfreq and Winter solstice (Australia), and Luminate (New Zealand). He frequently tours nightclubs and concert venues through the States and Canada, as well as internationally in Australia, New Zealand and Russia.

As Heyoka, Andrei released his first ep in 2008, and by 2011 had produced over six albums through San Francisco’s Muti Music, a leader in the glitch hop and bass music scene. In “Dub Iteration,” Andrei’s newest album and first official release as Andreilien, he revisits the dubby vibe of some of the earlier Heyoka releases with a newer fatter twist.

Further expanding artistic horizons, Andrei has been continually working to develop a multimedia project with original Visionary and 3D art to create full sensory fractal journey in a dimension of its own.

So, for a sonic journey so thick you can smell it, keep listening to signals from beyond for Andreilien playing in a noosphere near
