SEE EVENT DETAILS
September 19-October 5 at 7:30pm (Fridays / Saturdays) and 3pm (Sundays)

Deborah Slater Dance Theater will present the premiere of their ongoing investigations around hope with SHOUT IN THE DARK - A Guide to Hope and Good Grief, a series of movement stories created by everyone associated with the show, in collaboration with playwright Eugenie Chen, movement created by the dancers and direction by Deborah Slater. It comes to life Friday - Sunday Sept 19-October 5th. Fridays &; Saturdays will be at 7:30PM with 3PM matinees on Sundays.

Because what if something better is possible, is coming, is just around the corner.

What if there's something I can do, something difficult and terrifying and real.
What if I have to be brave and honest and vulnerable and what if that helps?
Hope is a bet that the future is better than the past.
And hope is cruel because it's a bet we could lose.

SHOUT performers include Emma Andre, Colin Frederick, William Brewton Fowler, Jr., Anna Greenberg Gold, & Nol Simonse. On film: Moscyeline ParkeHarrison & Hadassah Perry. With the dancers, we are exploring: 1) how we find cope in trying times, 2) where does hope live in the body and how do we find it and 3) what does community offer? It is a meditation on survival, difficult decisions and complex lives.

Support the Artist: $50.00; General Admission: $35.00; Student/ Senior: $25.00.

Presented by Deborah Slater Dance Theater.
