Eslick and inspired by real-life events, this hilarious, poignant and personal exploration of race, identity, and representation, follows Hwang's semi-autobiographical protagonist, DHH, as he inadvertently casts a white actor in the role of an Asian character while-ironically-attempting to combat racial misrepresentation in the media.
