Shordie Shordie - Breath Of Fresh Air Tour

Northeast Baltimore's Shordie Shordie is the closest thing the city has to a Lil Uzi Vert-like character. When looking at the artists who have gotten citywide support over the past few years, he is surely the most flamboyant and eccentric. Shordie's dances and scratchy harmonies have created some of the best music to come out of Baltimore, MD to date. When it comes to making amazing hooks he is largely undefeated, gaining him his unique yet fitting nickname, Captain Hook.

Captain Hook has created an impressive amount of buzz around his brand as a whole through the viral outbreak of his contagiously catchy record "(Betchua) Bitchuary". The record is an unapologetically truthful anthem that resonates both with women and men, making the bouncy melody irresistible. The bay-area sound paired with the insanely quotable hook has caught the attention of people all over the country and has earned the young star the title of the first Baltimore rapper in history to ever become certified platinum.

Shordie is prominently known for going viral for teasing unreleased music for his fans. These videos have had fans on the edge of their seats for the long awaited album titled Captain Hook 2. Until then, Shordie is gearing up with precursor, titled >Music the Mixtape.

Shordie Shordie was born RaQuan Hudson in 1996. Raised in Baltimore, he had almost no interest in rapping until he formed Peso Da Mafia in 2015 with his brother Lor Dee and their cousin PDM Purp. The group's 2017 single "Money Man" was a regional hit, due in part to the dance that accompanied the song. Peso Da Mafia's first mixtape, Never a Drought, appeared in 2018, and Shordie Shordie was already working on solo material. He released several singles that year, including "Lonely" and "Holidays," but it was "Betchua (Bitchuary)," a melodic, trappy tune about unfaithful partners, that caught on the most, streaming in the tens of millions in a short time. This song opened the floodgates for Shordie Shordie, and he released his debut mixtape, Captain Hook, later that year. Second mixtape >Music arrived in 2020 and managed to gain some chart traction. His third mixtape, a collaboration with Murda Beatz called Memory Lane, appeared the following year. 2022 saw the release of More Than Music, Pt. 2, which included features from Mozzy, Offset, and Rich Homie Quan.
