Save the Date for City Surf Project's biggest event of the year!
CSP relies entirely on the support of individuals and organizations to make our program possible. We use surfing as a vehicle to teach: water safety, environmental stewardship, and life skills. Through the sport of surfing, CSP participants have the opportunity to relieve stress, heal from trauma, and find a place of meditation. Through the process of learning to surf, CSP participants learn patience, problem solving, and the maxim that hard work pays off. These skills transfer readily to other parts of their lives that may be plagued with challenges, like school, home, and social life.
This event will support our goal of raising 75k for the year 2019 to support City Surf Project securing our own office and headquarters in San Francisco! We are the only non profit in the Bay Area providing scholastic surfing 101 classes for PE credit during school hours (and out of school time) 5 days a week for 16 weeks of the semester in the fall and spring! We have a total of 6 programs that run all year long! Although we work in schools, we are not funded by the district. We rely on the community to support our programs. We are so excited to celebrate all of our success, our students, our staff, our board, our volunteers, and all of the community partnerships we have had the honor of working with! Join our celebration and our fundraiser at the beautiful August Hall in the heart of San Francisco! Entertainment / Food and Drinks / Silent Auction / Art Auction - More information to come!
