Marin Shakespeare Company observes the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death with "Shakespeare Sonnet Celebration," from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at Fourth Street Plaza, Fourth and Court Streets in San Rafael. The event is free and open to the public.Led by Marin Shakespeare Company Artistic Director Robert Currier and Director of Artistic Engagement, Erin Merritt, the "Shakespeare Sonnet Celebration" will be an open mic event featuring all 154 of Shakespeare's sonnets performed through readings, song and dance and other creative presentations. Scheduled presenters include director James Dunn; actors Will Marchetti and Richard Pallaziol; Marin Shakespeare actors; and community members. There will also be special appearances by Shakespeare and the Dark Lady portrayed by Marin Shakespeare favorites Adam Roy and Livia DeMarchi.
