Shahrzad Dance Academy (SDA) was formed in July of 1995, and became a 505 (c) 3 non-profit organization in December of 1996.
Students attend classes weekly, and the advanced students (children & adults) perform at various cultural events, lecture-demonstrations, and company concerts, in addition to collaborating on dance productions with various organizations.
SDA is available for performances nationally and internationally, and has been a guest of Neva Russian Dance Ensemble in San Francisco, Avaz International Dance Theatre in Los Angeles, California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, Jorjani Farsi School in Albany, SFSU Dance Department, The Bahaii Center, The Persian Center, Society of Iranian Professionals, XDOT25 Production, Darvag Theater Arts Foundation, CA State Fair at Cal Expo, and many more events featuring arts and culture.
