Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. It is NOT a celebration of Mexican independence, which is on September 16th.
In the U.S. the date has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture. On this Cinco de Mayo, we will celebrate Mexican-American culture in typical SF Urban Adventure Club fashion, with a pub and taqueria crawl! We will visit 5 bars and 5 taquerias on this crawl.
IMPORTANT: You don't need to drink and eat at each location.
Starting location: Evil Eye + La Taqueria
Stop #1: Mission Bar + Taqueria El Farolito
Stop #2: Alamo Draft House + Mateo's Taqueria
