Back for its eighth year, SFMade Week celebrates manufacturers, their products, and their people with dozens of events and activities, including factory tours, demonstrations, workshops, and pop-up shopping events.
#SFMW19 is SFMade's largest event of the year; it shines a spotlight on the maker community and all the cool and innovative products that are made in the San Francisco.
This year, SFMade Week kicks off on #MFGDay19, a nationwide celebration of the manufacturing sector encouraging local companies to open their doors to students, parents, teachers, and the larger community.
Both events are geared to show the reality of modern manufacturing, bring awareness to job and career opportunities in the sector, and celebrate the people who make things.
SFMADE WEEK EVENTS:
1. Shop at a Pop-Up: #SFMW19 features pop-up shopping events throughout the city for a chance to meet and support local manufacturers.
2. Tour a Factory: Experience factory tours at more than a dozen local businesses ranging from chocolatiers and distilleries to bookbinders and sewing facilities.
3. Take a Class: Learn from local manufacturers how to make picture frames, wall hangings, jewelry, planters, fudge, and more!
4. Learn about SFMade: Sign up for an in-depth orientation to hear about SFMade's services for local manufacturers and job seekers.
