Bright Knights Chess Club of San Francisco host another free chess tournament for youth:

Free Event – there will be limited seating at this event. To guarantee your spot, you must register in advance, and arrive by 11:30am for the US Chess Federation Rated Section, 12:00pm for other sections to check-in on the day of the event.
Tournament is only open to youth, ages 5-18 years old, students 19 years old attending High School are also welcomed.
TOURNAMENT SECTIONS
US Chess Federation Quick Rated Section – Open to all current US Chess Federation (USCF) members. USCF membership is required to play in this section as games will be submitted to the USCF to be "quick" rated and ranked nationally. To join the USCF to play in this section, please visit www.uschess.org. Clock time is Game in 20, delay 5 seconds (G/20; d5). Participants will play 4 Rounds of Swiss, followed by Playoff of Speed Chess G/2 if necessary. Check-In Starts at 11:30am, Awards Presented at 4:30pm.
Intermediate/Novice Section – Open to youths of all skill levels, no USCF membership required. A clock may or not be assigned at your table. Clock time is Game in 20 minutes; each player has 20 minutes per round on their chess clock if notating. Participants will play 4 Non-Elimination Rounds. Check-In Starts at 12:00pm, Awards Presented at 4:30pm.
Beginner Section – For new chess players who just learned to play chess. Participants will play 4 Non-Elimination Rounds. Check-In Starts at 12:00pm, Awards Presented at 4:30pm.
TOURNAMENT RULES AND STRUCTURE
Standard US Chess Federation Rules are followed
4 Non-Elimination Rounds (Swiss System) – No player gets eliminated, all players will get to play all 4 rounds regardless of win, draw, or loss.
Clock Time - Game time is G/20; D5 (each player has 20 minutes in their clock with 5 seconds delay per turn.) Players may or may not be assigned a chess clock.
Playoff – 2 minutes speed chess playoff may be assigned in the event of a tie breaker
AWARDS & PRIZES
Trophies/Medals/Pin - Trophies to top 3 players in the US Chess Federation Quick Rated and Intermediate/Novice Section. Medals to top 3 players in the Beginner Section. Pins to all other partipants who completes 4 rounds.
