Come celebrate Human Rights Day 2017 with champions of human rights, civil rights, and social justice from across the Bay Area.
In 1950, the United Nations established Human Rights Day to publicize and commemorate the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Now, 67 years later, it is an opportunity to reflect on these shared values, learn about efforts to address human rights violations in our own communities and abroad, and connect with people working on a wide range of fundamental rights issues.
This event is co-sponsored by Amnesty International, the Center for Justice & Accountability, Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law, Asylum Access, Human Rights Advocates, Center for Gender & Refugee Studies, and Human Rights Data Analysis Group.
Wine and light appetizers will be served.
