The SF Beer Week Opening Gala is the largest, most anticipated, and prestigious annual gathering of the Northern California craft beer community.
It’s the kick off party for SF Beer Week, commencing a multi-day marathon of beer dinners, tastings, tap takeovers and educational events that occur all over the Bay Area.
This community-centric gathering is ground zero for the region's craft beer scene takes place on Friday, February 1, from 6-10:30pm** at Pier 35 in San Francisco (5pm for VIP). Breweries from throughout Greater Bay Area will be congregating to serve you the most creative and compelling beers the region has to offer.

Tickets are non-refundable, but transferrable. - Tickets will not be sold at the door.- Food is not included in the ticket price.- Do not bring in glassware of any kind. Water will be provided.- Backpacks and large bags are discouraged and may be subject to search.- Designated driver tickets are not available. Use ride share services or public transit or cab services.- Please drink responsibly. Disorderly guests will be escorted out by security.- Unauthorized solicitations or distribution of materials is prohibited, resulting in expulsion.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?We strongly encourage bringing a printed ticket for faster check-in.
Why is there no designated driver option available?Non-alcohol ticket options are always subject to significant abuse, unfortunately, and at an event this size, it is impossible to police these options without outstripping resources and greatly impacting the event's viability. As a result, only the one ticket type can be offered.
Can I bring outside food into this event?Unfortunately, no, you cannot bring food in. We do have food vendors who will have food for sale available.

Well over 300 beers are expected to be tapped, with over 120 breweries pouring. There will be plenty of great beer flowing throughout the night.
