Join the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History as they present another installment in their Monthly Audubon Society Meeting series. Since 1943, Monterey Audubon has been devoted to the understanding, conservation and enjoyment of Central California's birdlife, striving to connect communities and individuals to the region's avifauna through educational programs and outdoor recreation.
This month's installment is dedicated to the Unsilvered Fritillary, an attractive, ghost-like nymphalid butterfly, of which little is known about. Attendees will learn the story of the natural history of this species, much of it new to science, and the dangers threatening its continued existence.
