Self Defense & Empowerment Workshop for LGBTQIA & BIPOC

Join us for a day of learning and empowerment. This workshop, led by our friends at Impact Bay Area, is designed specifically for members of the LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities to learn essential self-defense techniques and strategies in a safe and supportive environment. Come and build your confidence, strength, and skills with us! Don't miss out on this opportunity to empower yourself and defend your right to safety, as well as meet other folks within community.

In this class you will:

- Learn to listen to your inner alarm bells, practice threat assessment and use assertive body language
- Practice "self-defense voice," using language that can alert yourself, the attacker and bystanders
- Practice setting boundaries through internal boundary recognition, body language and the use of verbal skills
- Learn two powerful physical strikes two the face and groin
- Understand the importance of adrenaline management and early boundary setting in both acquaintance and stranger interactions

ARRIVE AT 12:45PM: Arrive at QAF for check in at 12:45PM. The class will start at 1PM sharp!

We are hosting another workshop in Oakland on Sunday March 10th for those who are based in the East Bay.
