The Schumann Music Studio is a comfortable, acoustically beautiful space where classical musicians can sound, look, and feel their best. Our mission is to provide a welcoming, empowering environment where musicians can create magic.
Classical musicians come to SMS to make recordings that represent the best of their abilities. In addition to professional classical albums and videos, SMS has produced audition recordings for students that were accepted into leading conservatories and universities, including Juilliard, Harvard and Princeton.
Our concert grand piano, a 9 foot Yamaha CFIIIS from the Yamaha Studios Concert Reserve, is kept in exquisite shape and is regularly tuned. Our mic locker includes Neumann U87i mics, Neumann KM130 mics, AKG C414 B-ULS mics, Coles 4038 mics, and API 3124 Preamps among others.
Located in the heart of San Francisco in the quaint village of Noe Valley, SMS is conveniently situated beside local coffee shops, bookstores and restaurants.
