Sausalito Books by the Bay
Having worked in a bookstore - selling books, hosting author events - a local entrepreneur became a bit of bookstore maven learning a lot about the quirky book business. She knew even more however about the local community and what made it tick. Having lived in Sausalito for 27+ years and being actively involved in the community she knew the Sausalito demographic is unlike any other.
Our protagonist put forth a vision of what a bookstore could be - a community supported endeavor, a venture that engaged the local residents and other businesses. A community center as well as a place to browse and buy books. A haven of learning and exchange. A place to share a cup of coffee and chat with a knowledgeable bookseller. Something you do not get to do on Amazon!
