The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) announced the return this summer of its wildly popular and unique free series Saturdays Unplugged at the JCCSF. Families and friends can enjoy live music, sample cocktails alongside happy hour specials, and engage in hands-on activities with the kids happily alongside. The series honors Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, and invites the community to take a rest from busy routines and unplug to reconnect in the community. Saturdays Unplugged at the JCCSF will be held on June 18, July 9, and July 23 starting at 3 p.m., and is free to the public.
The JCCSF invites the community to experience Fogo Na Roupa, a Brazilian Carnaval dance and percussion company based in the San Francisco Bay Area who returns to Saturdays Unplugged again this summer. Fogo is a diverse community of revelers and carnavalescos rooted in the study of Afro-Brazilian dance and percussion that will electrify audiences with its blazing energy and unique aesthetics. In the Carnaval spirit, the JCCSF will be serving up Brazilian specialties: caipirinha cocktail for adults and brigadeiro sweets for all.
