San Francisco's Anchor Distilling: Penthouse Tasting with Master Distiller Kevin Aslan

Doctor Inkwell would like to introduce you to Anchor Brewing & Distilling Company, amongst the oldest breweries in California. Founded in 1896, Anchor Brewing was one of the first places to make steam beer and is considered the first microbrewery of the modern age. It nearly went out of business in the 1960's but was bought by Fritz Maytag (grandson of the founder of the well-known appliance company). Maytag eventually sold the business in 2010 to two former executives from the Skyy Vodka company, who have kept its commitment to artisinal products.
In 1993, Anchor started their distillery, first creating Old Potrero rye, followed a few years later by Junipero gin. In this exclusive, private event, we will see the recently opened edible roof garden where they grow botanicals used in their line, hear about their process and methods, and taste spirits from the Anchor line in the stunningly beautiful penthouse bar. Our event will be hosted by Master Distiller Kevin Aslan. As part of the Boozephreaks event, all participiants will be entitled to tasting glass and small gift bag. You must be at least 21 years of age to join.
Meet at the distillery at 5:45pm. Please arrive on time to avoid missing the tasting.
