An annual, admission-free festival that takes place each October, San Francisco Trolley Dances has been dubbed "art for citizens" and "a gift to the City." A total of 10 tours are scheduled over the weekend starting at One Bush Plaza at 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m. Each tour runs approximately two and a half hours.
This year's featured Bay Area artists blend music, movement and the unpredictable sounds and sights of San Francisco. They include Blind Tiger Society, Epiphany Dance Theater, Jean Isaacs, Jennifer Perfilio Movement Works, Kinetech Arts, Loco Bloco and Nava Dance Theatre.
The tour starts in Downtown San Francisco and travels to the Exploratorium en route to Fisherman's Wharf along the city's historic F-Line. At each site, trained volunteers greet audience members, and act as guides leading audiences along the performance journey. Route maps will be available on site and online at epiphanydance.org.
