San Francisco Mayor London Breed invites you to San Francisco Arbor Day 2023! Mayor Breed will pump up the crowd at 9 a.m., then we'll set out for a tree planting blitz throughout SoMa. While volunteers get their hands in the earth and expand our urban forest, back over at Bessie Carmichael Elementary, San Francisco Public Works will host our neighbors at the free, family-fun Arbor Day Fair, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be bucket truck rides, planter box building, mulching demonstrations by SF Environment, a Tree I.D. walk, Street Tree Nursery Tour and much more. **Volunteers who want to plant trees are asked to arrive for registration by 8:30 a.m. The kickoff will start at 9 a.m.
