Join us on June 20 and June 21 from 8am to 5pm for a celebration of competition, culture, and community in the heart of San Francisco.
The San Francisco Dragon Boat Festival will hold Friendship Races at Lake Merced on June 20 and 21. Throughout the festival, community members can experience dragon boat racing, cultural activities, local vendors, and family-friendly programming that highlights the history and significance of the tradition.
From longtime paddlers to first-time attendees, the festival creates space for people across San Francisco to come together through shared experience on and off the water. We aim to connect young people and families to cultural traditions that strengthen community across the city.
Thank you to our partners California Dragon Boat Association, Community Youth Center of San Francisco, and San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development for making this event possible.
