About Gordon Brown:
During our hectic days, often filled with the irritations of urban life, we fail to see the visual beauty around us. The textures, colors and unusual objects that are invisible to the naked eye are captured by the push of the shutter. In this exhibit I present some of the iconic views located in San Francisco and Oakland from my personal perspective. I love shooting with the existing light as it reveals the textures and colors of the moment.
The photos in this exhibit are the actual images as recorded by the camera. Filters, editing and cropping is used when appropriate to enhance the artistic and emotional impact of some photos.
I am pleased to have been invited to display my work at the 1090 Gallery. I have been the featured photographer in the Oakland City Hall Rotunda, Contra Costa County Public Law Library and just recently exhibited photos at Goat Hill Pizza on Potrero Hill, San Francisco through March 6, 2017. My work is included in numerous private and commercial collections in the Bay Area.
Each picture displayed is part of a limited edition (10) and will be signed by the artist, printed with archival ink on archival paper. Any photo may be purchased as displayed or customized to your specifications, including conversion to Black and White.
I would like to give special thanks to Samy’s Camera for the invitation to display my photographs.
