About the Book:
Salt in My Soul: An Unfinished Life is a collection of journal entries by the late Mallory Smith, ’14. It’s an intimate portrait of a young woman living her life, struggling with who she is, what she hopes to accomplish and what she fears. She writes about topics that so many young people experience—wanting to fit in, wondering if anyone will love her, feeling insecure about her looks, grappling with breaking away from her parent. She delves into body image, when to disclose her illness to friends, and how she hopes to help others with her insights and observations.
