Welcome to our fun Salsa On1 and Salsa On2 classes at the Motion Arts Center dance studio, nestled right in the heart of downtown San Mateo! Salsa is a Latin Dance associated with the music genre of the same name which was first popularized in the United States in the 1960s in New York City. Salsa is an amalgamation of Cuban dances such as mambo, pachanga, and rumba as well as American dances such as swing and tap.
Because we believe that learning to dance salsa is not just about mastering the steps, it's also about finding your own unique style and rhythm, we offer two distinct classes that cater to different preferences and dancing styles.
Our talented instructors are ready to guide you every step of the way, regardless of your dance experience. We strive to create a fun and friendly atmosphere where you can meet new people and make new friends while learning a new skill.
