The South Asian Bar Association of Northern California (SABA-NC) is co-hosting a fireside chat with Washington D.C. appellate attorney Pratik Shah.
Pratik Shah has argued 14 cases in the United States Supreme Court and filed over 150 merit or certiorari-stage briefs in that court. He is the co-head of Akin Gump's Supreme Court and Appellate Practice. Previously, he practiced for five years as an assistant to the Solicitor General for the United States. He graduated from Boalt Law School in Berkeley, and subsequently clerked Judge Fletcher on the 9th Circuit and Justice Breyer on the United States Supreme Court.
Federal District Court Judge Vince Chhabria will ask questions of Pratik regarding his career, cases he has handled, and the experience of answering questions from justices on the Supreme Court.
Appetizers and refreshments will be served. The fireside chat is co-hosted by Hastings' South Asian Law Students Association.
