We are the San Francisco Correspondence Society, and we love everything about handwritten correspondence, from the stationery to the postage.
For those who may be new to letter writing, this is a relaxed, casual event where we will be writing cards and letters to loved ones, those in need, pen pals, or whomever you like! I love letter writing because it's a slower, more mindful way to keep in touch. This time is for you to write, craft, meet other fellow letter writers, and have fun! Russian Hill Bookstore has one of the best (and largest) card and stationery selection in the city, so you can also come for some shopping too.A few details:
There will be some cards and letter writing supplies provided (as gifts to you), but please feel free to bring your own letter writing supplies (favorite pens, personal stationery, etc). Also know that there will be plenty of beautiful cards, pens, gifts, and stationery to purchase at Russian Hill Bookstore.
Postage (some vintage and new!) will be available to purchase onsite as well (bring cash or have a Venmo/Paypal/SquareCash account).
Feel free to bring rubber stamps, washi tape, or any other fun crafting supplies! I will have some for use onsite but the more the merrier (and it's fun to see what others have brought :).
