The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation will be holding the first ever stair climb race up the 61-stories of the brand new Salesforce Tower (415 Mission Street, in downtown San Francisco) on Sunday, October 21st. This unique fundraising event will be held from 8:30-11:30am (with dedicated, staggered start times, beginning with seeded runners and teams), and is limited to a maximum of 2000 participants, 18 years or older.
The race promises a real challenge for elite competitive climbers, and, for all participants (including “Virtual Climbers” -- those providing larger donations, who will take the elevator), stunning panoramic views from the top of San Francisco’s tallest building and a post-climb party on the plaza. 100% of the proceeds will go to funding the best young scientists performing innovative cancer research.
More details about the race and online registration can be found at http://RunyonUp.org
