Run for Teachers 2017 (Aug 20) for my sister & children (India, Louisiana)

Join us at a memorial run to honor the memory of my sister, Tracey Lurie-Sklar, and to raise money for students in India and Louisiana.
DETAILSo When: Sunday, August 20, 2017. Event starts at 11am. Registration starts at 10am.
o What: 5.7 Km run or walk (or watch) on Crissy Field. Out and back so you can run less if you want.
o Where: The parking lot at the St. Francis Yacht Club, 700 Marina Boulevard in the Marina in San Francisco.
o Why: Raise money for Building Blocks India in honor of Tracey Lurie-Sklar (1962-2008)
o Donations starting at $25. NOTE: Run for Teachers is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your donations are tax-deductible.
IN HONOR OF TRACEY LURIE-SKLARTracey Lurie-Sklar was a teacher, mother, daughter, sister and community leader. Born in Africa on June 13, 1962, Tracey passed away on November 6, 2008.
The run is in honor of her work with students both in the US and abroad and her spirit.
THE CAUSES

The schools provide a proactive pre-school program to give slum children a good foundation through a fun, comprehensive curriculum.

LOUISIANA
Run for Teachers supports a high school student in New Orleans, Louisiana to attend school as a Tracey Lurie-Sklar Scholar.
THE COURSEThe run is a 5.7 Km mile out-and-back course from the parking lot of the St. Francis Yacht Club along Crissy Field to the turnaround point at Fort Point.
You can run or walk and are not required to do the full distance.
Trophies are awarded for the 1st 3 women and men finishers.
