Presented with Mixed Elements & Red Melon
Key Characters: DANO, JZ, Michael Anthony (he explodes after every performance) & Bali
Dano:
The man who makes it all happen at Red Melon Studios. An excellent DJ in his own right, he has worn the multiple hats of engineer, writer, publisher, label boss, A&R and shipping guy in an effort to make Red Melon Records one of the Bay Area's strongest tech house labels. By aligning himself with talented and seasoned DJ's, he has defined a range of sounds, which sets Red Melon Records apart from the others. In addition to owning and managing Red Melon Records, Dano maintains arduous production and touring schedules. The year 2000 was a breakthrough year for him, following five years of solid production for Red Melon culminating in a slew of remixes for artist such as Dajae, Terry Lee Brown, Jr., Mood II Swing and Swayzak, along with various projects for such respected labels as NRK Sound Division, Honchos Music, Junior Recordings, and Low Pressings. He has also completed two mix albums recently; one for the Under Cover Music Group’s Tech House Phenomenon CD series
and more recently, Slip N Slide’s Mix CD compilation entitled Golden Gate Grooves.
JZ:
As Dano's partner-in-crime at Red Melon, JZ seamlessly weaves rhythmic intricacies of varied (but always funky) musical styles ranging from the deepest of soulful house, through tribal and percussive barnstormers, all the way to the progressive sounds of tech-house and beyond as his diverse personal taste always shines through. Whether rocking a hard-hitting 2-hour peaktime set or taking the audience on a slow-burning 5 hour journey, JZ's ability to "play for the crowd" has made him a consistent favorite among Bay Area partygoers. With his residency aboard the famed "Watermelon" boat parties and a non-stop travel schedule that keeps him rockin' crowds worldwide, JZ is poised to launch an all-out assault on the ears of the global listening public with his unique blend of California-flavored international house music.

Bali:
How can BaLi's meteoric rise on the dance music scene be explained? Simply put: passion! "I've been passionate about music my entire life," he says. "I've played the saxophone for more than a decade, so picking up the turntables seemed fluid. I couldn't think of a better medium to creatively express my love of music. What is better than throwing down some phat vinyl and watching the crowd go crazy? To me there is no better high."
BaLi's ambitions of producing hot tracks while playing live gigs around the world have already begun to come to fruition. Early in his remarkable career, he has had great success as both a DJ and a producer. It is abundantly clear to those who know the man and his work that the drive, the passion, and the music all lie deep within him and will take him to wherever he wants to go.
