Rrose brings her unique style of underground techno with support from DJ Cira, Awesomer & more!
Born 1969. Died 1909. After the release of three EPs and an album on the Sandwell District label in 2011 and the launch of her own Eaux imprint in 2012, productions out on Further Records, Stroboscopic Artifacts, Infrastructure New York and Khemia Records including collaborations with Bob Ostertag, Lucy, and others, Rrose has found a unique niche in the worldwide techno underground while remaining equally situated in the experimental and avant-garde artistic communities. His tracks incorporate ideas from early drone and minimalist music as prominently as they do the history of dance music. Whether as a DJ, live performer, or producer, Rrose crafts sonic ecosystems with patience and attention to detail, allowing the music to unfold gradually while tapping into deep, uncharted recesses of both the mind and body.
DJ CZ Chris Zaldua (DJ CZ) is a writer, event producer, community organizer, and DJ based in San Francisco. He co-founded two club nights, Surface Tension and Vague Terrain; a record label, Left Hand Path; booked half the lineup for MUTEK.SF Year One; has performed with some of your favorite DJs and artists; and maybe interviewed them, too. He's currently working on Thoughts of a Certain Sound, a newsletter-blog dedicated to leftfield music of all different kinds.
DJ NFS NFS (Not For Sale) is an Oakland-based multidisciplinary artist and DJ who weaves together esoteric and mystic atmospheres and offbeat offerings, juxtaposing contrasting tempos and rhythms. She is co-founder of Oakland underground record store, art space, and cultural hub Cone Shape Top, and the club night EGG! at Thee Stork Club. She also performs in 3-piece experimental electronic outfit S'hells Gate.
