Description
Time for another delicious exploration into edible upcycling, this time in the form of Detroit Style Pizzas. Edible upcycling — a term coined by ReGrained — refers to the creative rendering of nutritious but overlooked ingredients into delicious, sustainable food.
ReGrained will deploy the culinary potential of it’s SuperGrain+ flour in partnership with Square Pie Guys Pizza, whose pop-ups have been taking San Francisco by storm.
SuperGrain+ flour is crafted in partnership with some of the Bay Area’s favorite craft breweries. This innovative flour is made from the nutritious grain created every time that beer is brewed. Brewing beer extracts the sugar, but concentrates and leaves behind the other nutrients. SuperGrain+ offers more plant protein and fiber than every other grain flour on the market — while enhancing flavor and function.
SPG and ReGrained are combining their talents to craft an original, unforgettable pizza menu featuring upcycled SuperGrain+flour pizza dough and locally sourced ingredients—aptly hosted at one of our favorite local breweries, Standard Deviant.
