Previously, Mariel was an early team member at Coursera, the world’s largest massive open online course platform, where she led Coursera’s development in Asia. A committed community-builder, Mariel manages the local chapter of SF EdTechWomen, a national network for advancing women’s leadership in the education technology industry. She's an active member and curator emeritus of the San Francisco Hub of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community.
