RE:FASHION Workshop

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Don’t throw away your clothes because they have a tear, stain, or are going out of style! Keep your wardrobe out of the landfill by learning 3 techniques that will bring your old clothes back to life. Join us for an afternoon of "re-fashioning" fun, while learning about slow fashion and local fiber systems.

In partnership with Fibershed and Apparel Arts, we've gathered some of the best artisans in the Bay Area to show you how to save your used and damaged clothing. You will walk away with three techniques in your tool kit: mending, embroidery and eco printing.

Have a stained dress? An eco print application made with locally harvested leaves and flowers will bring new life to your garment. Have a boring t-shirt? Dress it up with embroidery details. Found a hole in your favorite pair of jeans? Repair them with decorative Boro and Sashiko Japanese mending techniques.

In addition to light snacks and adult beverages, we will also have a#iReMadeMyClothes photo booth to show off your renewed duds!

Admission: $15. All proceeds go to support non-profits Fibershed and Fashion Revolution USA.
