Queering Dance Festival presents FROLIC 2025

Back for another year of powerful, sexy, experimental queer dance, the Queering Dance Festival's FROLIC! presents eight Bay Area LBGTQ+ artists across two exciting programs.

Featured Artists:

Kevin Gaytan Baez explores the intersections of Queer identity and Mexican heritage through theatrical, comedic storytelling in El Punetas.

Blake "K-ZO da Snowman" Hihara journeys through Uchinaanchu traditions and Black American street dance in Kid Chanpuruu.

Erik Wagner presents Anonymous Faggot, a reflective work of curiosity, rage, and Queer self-discovery.

Audrey Johnson/ARTEMISIA delves into shadow, fracture, and redemption in American myths through solo dance theater.

Stephanie Sherman & Anaís Azul offer Passing Over, a ritual of healing ancestral trauma and confronting Zionism.

DDDabke, Drag, and Drums (DDD) brings Al Ayn, a trans-Queer dabke performance honoring movements for a Free Palestine.

Octavia Rose Hingle & Alexandrea Archuleta present Under Earth, inspired by Derek Jarman's Queer ecological visions.

Jose E. Abad presents Like The Sun Invading My Skin, a highly improvised solo exploring love, loss, identity, and the complexities of living in the Anthropocene.

Artists offer their resilience, complexity, and obsessions through movement, text and unabashed queerness.
